Global Search

Global search lets you find anything in ProcessMind from a single search box, without knowing which folder or page it lives in. It searches across processes, folders, model elements, roles, versions, and documentation, and groups results by category so you can jump straight to the right place.

ProcessMind global search results

Global search lives in the app bar at the top of the application:

  1. Click the search icon in the top bar.
  2. Start typing: results appear as you type.
  3. Click a result to open it.

When you open search without entering a query, it shows the five most recently used processes at the top. This makes it easy to jump back into a process and continue where you left off. As soon as you start typing, the search results update to match your query.

Global search indexes the content of your workspace, including:

  • Processes and folders: match by name; results show a folder icon for folders and a process icon for models.
  • Roles: find roles in your role library.
  • Model elements: find activities, events, and gateways inside your models by name.
  • Versions: find model versions by name.
  • Comments: find comments and mentions.
  • Documentation and artifacts Process Architecture Process Architecture Available with a Process Architecture seat or higher. Only seats on this plan or a higher one can use this feature. Compare plans : search the content of attached documents, including text found inside uploaded files.

Results are grouped by category, so you can tell at a glance whether a hit is a process, a role, an element, a version, or a document.

Searching Inside Documents

When your search matches the content of an attached document, the result shows the document name, a snippet of the matching text, and the section or artifact it came from. You can jump to a specific paragraph in a long process document without opening every file.

Tips for Better Searches

  • Start with a folder or process name if you know roughly where something lives.
  • Use a distinctive word from a document to surface it in the documentation results.
  • Combine with catalog filters: if a search comes up empty, check whether the process is published or filtered out in the Process Catalog.
