AI Summaries

AI Summaries add an AI-generated summary element directly onto your process canvas. Instead of opening dashboards and cross-referencing metrics, the element explains what is happening in your process in plain language, right next to the model.

Available Summary Types

Each summary type answers a specific question about your process:

  • Bottlenecks: where cases wait the longest, and what is causing the delay.
  • Compliance: where the process deviates from your model or from expected behavior.
  • RPA opportunities: steps that are repetitive and rule-based, and therefore good candidates for automation.
  • Trends: how the process is changing over time, up or down.
  • Health: an overall read on the health of your process, based on your Process Health dimensions.

Additional summary types are available for specific uses: a generic AI Summary (free-form analysis), a Short AI Summary, and an AI Comparison (compare datasets or periods side by side). There is also an AI Process Health summary.

Adding an AI Summary to Your Canvas

  1. Open your process canvas in the model or dashboard view.
  2. Add an AI Summary element from the analytics palette and choose the summary type you need.
  3. Let the AI analyze your data: the element fills in with a plain-language summary.
  4. Refresh the summary whenever your data or model changes to keep it current.

Interpreting AI Summaries

AI summaries are designed to be read in seconds:

  • Bold claims are backed by metrics: each summary links back to the underlying dashboards and data.
  • Use them as a starting point: a summary tells you what is happening; dig into the process graph or case explorer to understand why.
  • Combine types: a bottleneck summary next to an RPA summary gives you a complete picture in one view.

Credits and Availability

AI summaries are available with a Process Intelligence seat or higher. Generating summaries consumes AI credits from the same monthly pool as the AI Assistant. Once generated, a summary stays on your canvas and can be refreshed as needed. Track your balance on the usage and credits screen.
