ProcessMind 2026.04

🚀 Major New Features

Vertical Swimlanes and Improved Lane Modeling

ProcessMind now includes vertical swimlanes, making it much easier to model processes that need a top-to-bottom structure instead of the classic horizontal layout.

This release also brings a large set of swimlane-related improvements, including better resizing behavior, clearer lane handling, improved pool and participant interactions, and more predictable editing of lane-based layouts.

This makes swimlane-heavy models easier to build, easier to read, and much more stable during editing.

Reusable Artifacts and Element Images

ProcessMind now supports reusable artifacts that can be uploaded once and reused across a process.

You can now:

  • Upload images, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files
  • Attach artifacts to the Process Documentation tab
  • Add images directly to BPMN elements such as activities, events, and gateways
  • Reuse artifacts across the process instead of uploading the same file repeatedly

This makes process documentation richer and helps modelers visually show systems, outputs, and supporting documents directly in the process model.

Simulation Engine, Auto-Generated Settings, and Real Data Comparison

ProcessMind now includes a much more powerful simulation engine directly in the product.

Simulation settings can now be generated automatically based on:

  • Historical process data
  • AI analysis of your process model, activities, and structure

This gives users a fast starting point for building realistic simulations without manually configuring every setting from scratch.

At the same time, the engine remains fully customizable, with controls for:

  • Resources and capacity
  • Time constraints and durations
  • Loop behavior
  • Included or excluded paths
  • And many more simulation settings

This release also introduces Simulation vs Real Data comparison, allowing users to validate simulation outcomes directly against historical process performance. That makes it easier to tune simulation settings, verify assumptions, and build confidence in the results.

On top of that, you can now record process animations directly from the canvas to a file, making it easier to share walkthroughs, explain process behavior, or present results to stakeholders.

Improvements and Enhancements

  • Improved the Process Detail slider heuristic so it better focuses on the happy path instead of defaulting to 100% coverage.
  • Improved BPMN import consistency so importing a full process model with charts retains the layout more reliably across systems.
  • Improved swimlane resizing behavior and overall interaction stability.
  • Improved tenant-related feedback with a more useful message when changing to an already existing short name.
  • Improved animation start behavior so animations align better with actual time and start state.
  • Improved AI report loading behavior so loading states are shown more accurately.
  • Improved the simulation range selector behavior for datasets.
  • Improved the docs menu collapse and expand speed.
  • Improved website cookie handling and related compliance behavior.
  • Improved default tenant settings behavior for users and admins.
  • Updated customer-facing PDFs, including security measures, SLA, support, and SaaS hosting documents.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed several swimlane and pool editing bugs, including resizing from the wrong side, child selection behavior, locked lane states, lane labels, lane transparency, participant rotation, and lane width handling in horizontal mode.
  • Fixed cases where multiple swimlanes resized together incorrectly.
  • Fixed issues where auto layout groups were based on outdated inclusions.
  • Fixed cases where selection rectangles did not work correctly in lanes.
  • Fixed issues when dragging pools and participants, including missing labels and blocked follow-up actions.
  • Fixed a bug where all redirect errors after deploy triggered a redirect.
  • Fixed an issue where removing a user from an environment could leave that user inaccessible.
  • Fixed invite problems caused by invalid email addresses, including addresses with multiple dots.
  • Fixed issues where deleted users could still appear as invited.
  • Fixed a CSP violation affecting the website.
  • Fixed cases where report loading states did not behave correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the chart filter follow-up by chart settings could not be selected properly.
  • Fixed variation filtering issues.
  • Fixed cases where animations ran but nothing was shown.
  • Fixed cases where simulation progress was not shown during a run.
  • Fixed simulation upload toasts showing old event counts or file sizes.
  • Fixed issues in generated simulations where activities were included incorrectly, dates were handled incorrectly, or progress feedback was missing.
  • Fixed an issue where the interface flashed before onboarding pages were shown.
